AFI shows off new plant

Melbourne fabric signage outfit AFI Branding has thrown open its doors to more than 60 clients for an open house evening at its new, expanded premises.

The new head office and production facility in Carrum Downs is five times bigger than the company’s last space and was purpose built to house all sales, pre-press, print, cutting, sewing and fabrications processes under one roof.

Glenn Watson, managing director of AFI, says, “Here at AFI we are constantly looking for ways to set the bar higher in our industry, we are not your traditional signage supplier, and there was no better way to communicate this than by hosting our clients in our own environment.

“Having the opportunity to show our clients how their work comes to life, and introduce them to the people that make it all happen has been a goal of ours for some time.”

AFI says it its implementing initiatives to secure its place at the top of the industry; Watson says in its 22 years it has stayed abreast of industrial change with technology and embraced first to market products.

“We want to ensure that people who partner with us have complete confidence that their idea, whether it be a banner, or intricate exhibition display, will be produced using the latest technology, most vibrant fabrics and expert craftsmanship.”

The company picked up two silvers at this year’s National Print Awards, and also has offices in Sydney and Brisbane.
