Fuji Xerox has sold nearly 200 of its entry level Color C75/J75 digital presses since the Australian launch in February this year.
The company says the Color J75 Press is designed for small and medium size commercial printers, franchises, in-plants and digital printers looking to expand their business potential with a machine that is easy to operate.
It superceded the 700 Series, and essentially offers inline colour printing and finishing for a low investment point.
Mark Williams, product marketing manager at Fuji Xerox Australia, says, “The capabilities offered with the Color C75/J75 presses were developed in response to customer feedback we received. These solutions, although only recently launched, have had amazing market acceptance, with approximately 200 orders in total.
“On average, these Color C75/J75 presses have increased our customers’ monthly print volumes by 66 per cent when compared to the previous model, the 700 Digital Color Press.”
The J75 Press features an automatic inline spectrophotometer system (ACQS) for monitoring and calibration. An onboard scanner also sports an adjustment control system (SIQA), which looks at input and output density and colour variation to correct discrepancies.
Williams adds, “These solutions are fast becoming the most popular digital presses in the market, and these features continue to enable new applications. The automation system improvements with ACQS and SIQA controls continue to ensure businesses remain focused on producing more work, with less time spent in print makeready and maintenance.”
Among the 200-odd customers to take up the Color J75 are Brisbane printer Kuhn Corp and Sydney franchise Kwik Kopy Circular Quay.
Walter Kuhn, director at Kuhn Corp, says, “We are primarily an offset operation, and were outsourcing all our digital work. We moved premises and built rooms to house a digital machine. We sent out a test file, and Fuji Xerox Australia’s print from the Color J75 Press was the closest to our Komori press.
“We felt that the Color J75 Press was the most cost-effective machine for the type of work we are doing. It now handles the work we used to send out, gives us control over it, and lets us build the digital side of our business.”
Nicholas Tuit, owner and manager of Kwik Kopy Circular Quay, says, “Our Fuji Xerox Color J75 Press was installed in the last week of March, so we were one of the first on board. In the months since it has been a good, consistent performer. Certainly consistency and reliability have been its hallmarks – it is a reliable member of our team.”
