Böttcher, Konica Minolta and Neopost will present at the PrintEx15 expo, slated for Sydney in May of next year.

BJ Ball has also confirmed its attendance. Tony Bertrand, marketing and business development manager, says Icon, its inventory management solution, now has more than 250 installations across Australia, and PrintEx “is a great opportunity to show current and new customers the latest products and solutions on offer.”

Organisers say the registrations, which join early sign-ups Optimus, Tharstern, and DSM Kalker, underline the companies’ commitment to the local industry and show confidence in the expo’s ability to attract customers in challenging times for print.

Phil Rennell, chairman of PrintEx15, says the early commitments indicate the excitement already surrounding the show.

He says, “The confirmation of these major names so early in the piece demonstrates how important PrintEx15 will be as a source of ideas to help businesses in the region capitalise on opportunities and plan for a successful future.”

Mitch Mulligan, managing director of Böttcher Australia, says exhibitions form a strong part of the company’s marketing approach as it allows it to get face to face with customers.

He says, “PrintEx is an ideal platform for us to articulate what we are doing, and how we can partner with our customers, in an engaging, entertaining and informative way.

“Importantly, it does so in an environment which is free from the normal constraints of day to day business, where it is easier to step back, get a comprehensive overview, and look at the big picture. We would not miss it.”

David Procter, general manager of production printing with Konica Minolta, says his company is looking forward to connecting with customers at the expo.

He says, “Trade shows have always been a wonderful opportunity to present new technology and solutions and we are already planning what we will preview at PrintEx15.

“We are looking forward to the new location at the Sydney Showground.”

Chris Pettitt, marketing manager for print and finishing with Neopost Australia, says it is vital to be involved.

He says, “In our view, PrintEx is a must. Print businesses today are in the process of transitioning to meet a rapidly changing market.

“The Neopost mailing, digital finishing and large format print solutions we will be demonstrating at PrintEx are exactly the kind of investments that can help businesses add value and provide a more comprehensive offering to their clients.

“We are looking forward to meeting with key decision makers and demonstrating how we can help them plan for a successful future.”

The show will co-locate with the Visual Impact sign and display expo for the first time at the showground in Sydney Olympic Park.
