Printer Magazines Group has entered into partnership with Messe Dusseldorf to become official regional media partner for Drupa 2004, the world’s biggest printing and packaging machinery exhibition. More than 400,000 visitors are expected at the 15 day exhibition, which kicks off on May 6th 2004. The first fruits of the new partnership will be the Drupa 2004 Technology Roadshow, which will be organised by PMG on Drupa’s behalf in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland during May, and in several Asian cities including Hong Kong and Manila in October.Anders Oqvist, managing director of PMG says, "For Messe Dusseldorf and Drupa 2004, PMG is able to offer unrivalled access to the Asian Pacific print and packaging markets, through our six titles and more than 50 years of serving the area. We will be communicating the benefits of Drupa to the region’s print and packaging professionals. Drupa 2004 has clearly recognised the leading position of PMG in the region, and has been impressed with our innovative approach."
The Drupa 2004 Technology Roadshows mark a break from the traditional champagne and chit chat evenings. Each technology event will have six industry supply leaders, outlining the technological developments they forsee at Drupa 2004. The Roadshow will also feature the Drupa 2004 project leader, Manuel Matare. PMG will also be providing an official Drupa 2004 Tour, which will enable Drupa visitors to purchase a cost-effective business travel package to Dusseldorf. The package will include economy or club class seats on leading airlines, three or four star hotel accommodation in Dusseldorf or Cologne, and an entrance ticket to the show, which will incorporate free use of all public transport in the region. Package provider will be Landmark Travel in Sydney, a fully licensed and experienced travel agent.
