Pongrass to launch new Classified solution at Nexpo
Pongrass Publishing Systems, the Australian developer and integrator of database-driven software systems for newspapers, magazines, shoppers, advertising circulars, and directories will introduce a new and enhanced version of its Pongrass Classified Pagination software at Nexpo 2005. Pongrass Classified Pagination software is the company’s best known, flagship product, installed at more than 150 sites worldwide. Version 6 is the first major enhancement to the software since July 2001.
Version 6 of Pongrass Classified Pagination software includes a host of new features and refinements. Among these, Pongrass has redesigned the software’s control flow panel to provide users with a greater amount of information about headers and classifications.
Multiple headers are now available for each classification to improve the overall aesthetics of classified pages. The new version also extends support for sub classifications and hierarchical headers to give users increased flexibility in designing very large classified sections.
Timesaving new features in Version 6 of Pongrass Classified Pagination software include the ability to save pagination session and parameters in the database for easy retrieval and housekeeping and automatic flow of house ads to streamline the final pagination process. There are also a greater number of shortcut keys now available to help operators reduce keystrokes and increase their overall production speed.
Full integration with the Pongrass Ad Layout software in Version 6 provides another timesaving feature. It is now possible to pre-place classified ads prior to classified pagination. To ease the migration path for users of older versions of the software, Version 6 also maintains support for original file definitions supporting both
database and flat file interfaces, making Version 6 a simple plug and play upgrade.
