The achievements of Goss web offset press users have recently been recognised at the 2007 China Print Awards with winners taking home prizes in both the commercial and newspaper printing categories.
In the commercial web category Shen’s Art Printing Co Ltd (沈æ°è‰ºæœ¯å°åˆ·è‚¡ä»½æœ‰é™å…¬å¸) secured the Gold award with ELLE magazine, while the Silver award went to Marie Claire magazine, printed by C&C Offset Printing Co., Ltd, and the Bronze to Motor Trend (汽车æ—) printed by C&C Beijing (北京åŽè”å°åˆ·æœ‰é™å…¬å¸).
The Gold, Silver and Bronze winning products were all printed on Goss M600 commercial web presses.
The China Print Awards aim to raise the overall level of printing quality in China's printing industry, promote the exchange of technical information and enhance China's international competitiveness.
Reflecting these aims, Tim Mercy, vice president of commercial sales, Asia Pacific, says, "The M-600 press is the best-selling 16-page commercial web press in the world, and 150 M-600 units have been installed in China since 1998.
"The success of M-600 press users at the China Print Awards attests to the extremely high print quality this press can deliver."
The China Print Awards ceremony, held on August 29 at the Shenzhen Shangri La Hotel, also recognised Goss International customers, Sing Tao News Corporation, Heilongjiang Daily Newspaper Group and Nanfang Daily Media Group, who were all winners in the newspaper category.
The three media companies own a range of Goss equipment including Uniliner/Uniliner 'S', Magnum 4, Community and Newsliner presses.
Over 40 individual awards are distributed each year at the China Print Awards. The five award categories are publication and commercial printing, package printing, digital printing, screen and specialty printing, and security printing.
"Goss International is committed to bringing the highest value-added printing technology to Chinese printers and congratulates all the China Print Award winners," says Mercy.
"Helping our customers succeed is our mission, so we are proud to see them being recognised for their high print quality."
