The Indonesian Printing Exhibition, Indoprint, will take place at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran, from August 1 to 4 (10am - 7pm daily)

Admission to the event is free and open to trade visitors and professionals only – the general public and visitors under the age of 18 years will not be admitted.

The event is organised by PT Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur, and held in conjunction with IndoPlas, IndoPack and IndoFoodTec.

When last held in May 2006, Indoprint drew 99 exhibitors from nine countries and a total of 8158 trade visitors.

The recovery of the Indonesian economy injected optimism into the printing industry and set a very positive mood among the exhibitors and visitors last year.

Positive notes regarding the Indonesia economy include a restructuring of the civil service, which will help cut the budget deficit.

The Indonesian economy is recovering from the impact of the overnight 100-300 per cent increase in fuel prices in October 2005.

Inflation has dropped sharply and GDP growth for Q3 of 2006 rose to 5.5 per cent year-on-year, the strongest pace in a year.

Personal consumption growth edged up to 3 per cent year-on-year as consumer confidence returned.

Analysts expect GDP growth to rise to 6 per cent in 2007 as both consumer and investment spending consolidate with the help of lower inflation and interest rates.

The majority of visitors to the show in 2006 hailed from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan.

Intending visitors may pre-register online in order to expedite entry to the show venue. Click here to .
