Indonesian book publisher and printer PT Tiga Serangkai has invested in a new single web offset press the T-1400 from Tensor International.

Pavone says, “This is the fifth Tensor press purchased by Solo based Tiga Serangkai. Those presslines are often running 24 hours per day at full speed with small windows of maintenance time allowed.  The presses have performed well under this heavy production schedule, so the company opted to purchase another Tensor press to accommodate demand for a new book format.”

The latest T-1400 4-high tower and T-1 folder, scheduled to ship to Solo, Indonesia from Tensor’s U.S. plant this May, will have a 630 cutoff for the new textbook format.  The T-1400 units are equipped with bearers on both the blanket and plate cylinders, features that are generally standard on Tensor’s T-400BE press design.

Tiga Serangkai was established in 1958 by schoolteachers H. Abdullah Marzuki and his wife Hj. Siti Aminah Abdullah, have grown to become one of Indonesia’s leading schoolbook publishers and printers.  The company maintains numerous branches throughout Indonesia, with a main focus on publishing textbooks, children’s books and novels.
