Aldus has installed 34 JM Heaford plate mounters and proofing systems in Australia since 1999
Aldus has taken over the agency for JM Heaford in New Zealand, meaning the market-dominating supplier of flexo plate-mounting technology is now represented by the same company across Australasia. Aldus’ New Zealand sales manager Simon Mackenzie says that the move, following on from a successful PacPrint show, means consistency across both markets for JM Heaford customers.
The quality of JM Heaford products has seen it establish a market leading position in this country and in Australia where Aldus has installed 34 plate mounters and proofing systems since 1999.
Shaun Pullen, JM Heaford’s export sales manager for Asia & Middle East, describes the move to use Aldus in New Zealand as a strategic decision to utilise the full sales and after sales facilities of Aldus in both countries.
The name JM Heaford is synonymous with innovative and high quality plate mounting equipment. They were instrumental in the development of micro dot plate mounting, a system which is today used world-wide.
“Taking on the JM Heaford agency is a wonderful way for me personally to celebrate 15 years of service with Aldus,” Mackenzie says. “JM Heaford’s products have radically improved the performance of flexo over the past 15 years.
Mackenzie says that JM Heaford’s decision to sell through Aldus in Australia and New Zealand is a further step in Aldus’ move to providing a total package solution for the industry.
“Anybody setting up a flexo shop will need a plate mounter and JM Heaford is the best out there,” Mackenzie says.
He adds that the move to Aldus in New Zealand as well as Australia means that there will now be seamless integration for the many companies that operate in both markets, with one point of contact for all JM Heaford products.
