ANI Printing Inks acquires Macro Australia
ANI Printing Inks has signed an agreement to acquire the assets of Macro Australia, an independent supplier specialising in UV-Flexo inks, varnishes and adhesives for narrow web converters. With its full focus to the Australian and New Zealand market, Macro brings an excellent platform extending the technical service capabilities for the additional product portfolio from ANI.
This investment follows the ANI dedication towards offering local personalised support globally.
Ewald Draaijer president and general manager, ANI Narrow Web Division says, “Our entire organisation is driven by our efforts to understand today’s and tomorrow’s label converters requirements and then provide the right solutions with effective, responsive and personalised local support.
"The key to our success lies in providing consistent inks globally with a strong local and personalised technical support".
ANI Inks, previously known as Akzo Nobel, have been supplied in Australia for the past five years by Converflex, based in Melbourne and headed by Michael Doran.
George Lyle, general manager Asia Pacific for ANI says, “Although ANI’s current distributor Converflex has made good inroads into the Australian and New Zealand markets we are now following our global strategy to go direct in all the major narrow web markets.
"We thank Converflex for what it has achieved over the last five years and wish it well for the future.
“We are convinced that the acquisition of Macro will offer an improved service to our current customer base as well as opening up several new opportunities for us in Australia, New Zeeland and South East Asia", concludes Lyle.
The group is headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany.
