Roller and consumables supplier, Böttcher Systems, is expanding the service and support in New South Wales with the appointment of Scott Le Lievre as an additional technical sales representative for the state. Le Lievre brings a strong technical focus to his new position, the result of his experience as a printer in metal decorating. He served his apprenticeship with packaging and specialty printers, Pacmetal Services, where he rose to become production manager before taking on a sales role with screen-printing and digital imaging supplier, Brite Solutions. Le Lievre’s background in printing therefore encompasses lithographic printing as well as screen and digital print.

It was whilst at Pacmetal Services that Le Lievre first came into contact with Böttcher Systems while searching for a roller solution to cope with the heavy demands of metal printing. "That’s when I realised that Böttcher had a good product and a good reputation in the industry," he says.

Böttcher’s NSW appointment continues the company’s strategy of appointing technically-focused representatives to look after it’s customers. Last year Paul Harkess was appointed to lead the company’s operations in Queensland and, more recently, Stephen Gamble, another ex-press man, also joined the company to provide additional customer support.

"Scott came to us because he displayed a passion for all things in print and a desire to bring about improvements for our customers," says Mitch Mulligan, managing director, Böttcher Systems. "He is strong technically and will provide invaluable help for us in the field where his role will be to work with customers to solve problems and add value."
