Canon launches Digital Production Solutions Group
Canon has announced the launch of its new Digital Production Solutions Group to focus on the emerging digital print segment. With a new generation of digital printers becoming available to augment the features of offset devices, there’s little argument that digital printing is the way of the future, says Canon.
For short print runs and custom applications digital devices are opening up new avenues and revenue streams for professional print operators.
In recognition of the shift in professional and on-demand print technologies, Canon has created a new Digital Production Solutions Group (DPSG) responsible for its high end Digital Production product range in Australia to service the needs of this unique and growing segment.
DPSG, part of Canon’s Business Imaging Solutions Group (BISG) will be led by Christophe Lambert and supported by national sales manager, Mitchell Filby, national marketing manager, Linda Coffey and national operations manager, Sumitta Jayaratne.
DPSG’s vision is to provide customers with simple advanced solutions that have never been seen before. By working as one team and speaking with one voice, the group intends to deliver a rewarding, memorable and valuable experience to all of Canon’s customers, strategic partners and Canon itself.
The group will focus on high-end digital production solutions and will streamline and enhance customer services.
“Canon has created a new benchmark in quality and services through its launch of imagePRESS which represents a significant step forward in digital print technology," says Linda Coffey, national marketing manager, DPSG.
"Canon wanted to show its commitment to this emerging segment by creating a dedicated business group to focus on the sale and support of these products."
Canon will be launching the DPSG at events in Melbourne and Sydney on the February 22 and 27 respectively.
