Agfa’s range of large-format digital printing systems are proving to be a real hit with local printers and signage makers, with a surge of sales being experienced after appearances at the Image Expo and Visual Impact tradeshows in recent months. Folk Graphics and Product Distribution Australia (PDA) represented Agfa’s range of Sherpa large-format printers at Image Expo, while PDA flew the flag solo at Visual Impact.

According to Bruce Lowery, Agfa national manager for large format digital inkjet printing, the new machines have been received enthusiastically in the local market.

"There are already a number of installations throughout Australia, and many more in the pipeline. The outstanding colour quality, fast speed and environmentally-friendly inks of the :Grand Sherpa Universal printers in particular have impressed everyone who has seen these systems," he says.

Agfa has appointed a number of local distributors to sell their large-format digital printers in Australia. They are Artref (WA), Folk Graphics (NSW and VIC), Graphic Arts Supplies (SA), Product Distribution Australia (NSW and VIC) and Stanford Services (QLD).
