David Stamp, formerly in a communications role with press manufacturer, Goss International, has been named worldwide director of marketing & communications with PrintCity. Stamp begins his new role with PrintCity, the strategic alliance of over 40 companies in the graphic arts industry, on July 1. With 21 years experience in the graphic arts industry, serving in several worldwide and European communications roles for Goss International and its predecessors, he has broad knowledge of the graphic arts sector."I can’t think of a more exciting opportunity to be offered – representing an alliance of 40+ market leading, technology focused businesses across the packaging, commercial printing and publishing sectors of this great industry," says Stamp.
"PrintCity is already well recognised as an organisation that can consistently deliver positive workflow driven production solutions for the graphic arts. PrintCity proves that it is world class by offering access to the knowledge base of so many leading global suppliers in one place, providing innovative solutions to any packaging, commercial or newspaper printing opportunity.
"PrintCity is well known since drupa 2000 for its exhibition presentation of member company capabilities to deliver value added, total production solutions. What is increasingly obvious are the year-round benefits that PrintCity publications, research projects and reports add to global industry knowledge.
"We will be conducting research and identifying growth opportunities for PrintCity in this 365/24/7 area in the period through drupa 2008, plus creating a few surprises for drupa 2008 itself!"
Rainer Kuhn, managing director of PrintCity says of the appointment, "Following the recent PrintCity focus on topics including RFID technology and Packaging Solutions, we wanted to ensure that we communicated our activities more positively, all-year round.
"I’m personally extremely pleased to welcome David to our organisation. His expertise and knowledge will add significant value to PrintCity. Having David join us for the lead up to IfraExpo 2006 will be particularly important for the Value Added Printing of Newspapers (VAPoN) project and other PrintCity initiatives."
