Victorian commercial printer D&D Global Group looks set to clean up at the upcoming International Print Awards in the United States. The company has been informed it has won four Benjamin Franklin Awards (Bennys) and a swag of other accolades, which managing director Drago Zorec will be awarded at a ceremony in Chicago next month.D&D and U6 were announced winners of Bennys for electronic manipulation, environmentally sound materials, print/graphic arts self promotion and booklets, broadsides, brochures and flyers.
The company was also a Benny finalist for ‘They said it couldn’t be done’, won best of division for its Holden Racing Team posters, and will receive three certificates of merit and seven awards of recognition at the prestigious ceremony. This follows up on D&D’s success last year when they won three Bennys.
The awards are named in honour of America’s most cherished publisher/printer, Benjamin Franklin, and recognise excellence in independent publishing.
Print products, grouped by genre are judged on editorial and design merit by top practitioners in each field. All entrants receive critique sheets with advice on how to improve their work, as well as words of appreciation for the good work produced.
