Japanese finishing company Duplo displayed a strong commitment to JDF at drupa. A joint founder of CP3I, which is a participant of the JDF standard, Duplo says it was aiming to help drive standardisation at drupa.Its product range at the show included a series of sophisticated, scalable bookletmaking and collating solutions that have been developed for digital and offset print finishing requirements.
Duplo showcased what it describes as its most revolutionary digital print finishing product to date - the SCC (slit/cut/crease) bookletmaker, the UP3Icompatible system 5000 and Duetto bookletmaking and collating systems, and the new DBM 500 2KT two-knife trimmer.
Dominic Quennell, Duplo vice president of marketing, says, "This drupa is particularly interesting given the focus on JDF. Duplo is a firm supporter of industry initiatives and is helping drive the UP3I standard, which itself participates in the JDF standard that is set to form the basis of major advancements across the graphic arts industry."
Duplo’s wide range of bookletmaking technology was noted at drupa for its automation and integration with industry standards.
