NSW businesses are eagerly awaiting the PrintNSW Excellence Awards to be announced at a gala dinner at Sydney’s Crowne Plaza Hotel Coogee, on September 15. This year’s Excellence Awards, are to be sponsored by Heidelberg, Print Super, NSW Department of Environment and Conservation, Self Insured Services Australia, Fuji GSA, Spicers Paper, Edwards Dunlop, KBA Australia and Colquhouns, and will feature ten categories for excellence in different facets of printing.

According to Printing Industries General Manager, Robert Fuller, a large number of high profile companies have nominated and registered their participation at the event, which is expected to attract 300 guests, from printing companies across NSW.

“We have had a great response from all sectors of the industry and it’s now up to our judges to put in the hard yards selecting the best entries,” says Fuller.

This year entrants to the awards, will have the opportunity to get further recognition, with the chance to win an award in a new category called the ‘Business of the Year Award.’

Selected from one of the winners of the 10 award categories, the Business of the Year Award 2006, will be given to one outstanding entrant demonstrating the best overall presentation across all of the print and business criteria.

“All finalists will be eligible for selection as Printing Industries Business of the Year 2006, which is a new award recognising whole-of-business excellence. The Award will be presented by Guest of Honour, NSW Opposition Leader, Peter Debnam MP,” says Fuller.

With most companies booking tables of 10, printers are advised to book soon. Among the exciting entertainment at this year’s awards are, The String Divas, and popular dance band Mojo.
