Entries open for sixth HP Excellence Awards

HP has opened entries are for the its 6th installation of the Asia Pacific and Japan HP Print Excellence Awards that will take place in Beijing on May 12.

The Print Excellence Awards recognise the outstanding achievements and contributions of print service providers across the labels and packaging, sign and display, and commercial printing areas. Gido van Praag, vice president and general manager, graphics solutions business, Printing and Personal Systems Group, Hewlett-Packard Asia Pacific and Japan, says, “With the evolution of digital printing, print service providers are developing creative and innovative ways to display information and are using designs, mediums and formats that were previously unattainable.

“The HP Digital Print Excellence Awards honour those who are pushing the print industry forward with ingenuity and creativity. By recognising these efforts, we want to encourage and inspire print service providers to push the boundaries of the industry and create impactful materials for their current and future clients.”

Open to companies from across Asia Pacific and Japan for entries that are printed on large-format HP Scitex and Designjet systems, HP Indigo or Inkjet Web Presses, the award's winners will gain recognition in each of several categories, with overall winners named as well.

HP will hand out more than 40 awards atthe Print Excellence Awards Dinner in Beijing. Entries close on February 2013 and HP will inform finalists by March 2013.
