Finsbury Green Printing was announced as the winner of Business Enterprise Awards – Environmental Best Practice Program in this year’s United Nations Association of Australia, World Environment Day Awards during a gala presentation at Melbourne’s Grand Hyatt Hotel on Friday night. Strong support from Finsbury directors and all of our staff were cited as contributing factors in making the company’s widely known environmental initiatives possible.Hosted by Rob Gell, environmentalist and Victorian President of Greening Australia, the awards acknowledge actions taken at a local level to address global environmental issues.
The Environmental Best Practice Program recognises Finsbury’s endeavours in supporting new ideas and setting new standards, and acknowledges the company as one which has actively demonstrated an awareness of its environmental responsibilities.
The award showcases excellence in overall management or activities at a whole of business level, in relation to environmental considerations.
Awards were presented in categories for Business Enterprise, Triple Bottom Line, Green Building, Marine and Coastal Management, Water Management, Local Government, Education, Community, Individual and Media.
