K.W.Doggett celebrates Year of the Dog
Moving into the New Year is cause for celebration, with K.W.Doggett Fine Paper releasing its 2006 calendar celebrating the year of the dog. The calendar features one dog as the hero, wearing masks handmade by David Lancashire, to share a little personality of the animals represented in Chinese astrology.
In Chinese astrology there are 12 signs named after 12 animals – Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig – a different animal for each year. Legend says that those born in that year inherit characteristics of that animal.
“The dog’s characteristics of loyalty, devotion and integrity are ones which K.W.Doggett Fine Paper has upheld over the last 30 years, and will continue in the future years with greater strength, direction and vision.” said Ken Doggett.
The calendar’s impressive cover is printed with one spot colour and a HiTone Transparent Holographic Laser Foil on the new Curious Metallics, Citric Buzz, 240 GSM from ArjoWiggins.
Month pages and credits are printed in four colour process, plus sealer varnish on HannoArt A2+ Silk 200 GSM from Sappi.
Printing and prepress was done by Printgraphics, Victoria, with embellishment by Avon Graphics, Victoria. Copies are limited.
