Mark Kennedy owner of Snap St Georges Terrace in Perth has invested in his second Snap franchise, with the acquisition of Snap Kalgoorlie.
Kennedy is already the owner of Snap, St Georges Terrace Perth, he told Australian Printer, “I’m confident in Snap Franchising's future and Kalgoorlie's long term outlook. I have faith in the existing staff and I’m excited about new opportunities that Snap are rolling-out like eNewsletters and websites.”
He says, “The previous operator Mike Clarke wanted to retire and couldn't sell the centre post-GFC. So I agreed to take it on as the staff is pretty competent and well trained in product and service, which is half the battle.”
Clarke came from a non-print background when he took control of the Kalgoorlie business which he ran 16 years.
Kennedy says, “I hope to achieve some synergies with staff and growth in areas that haven't been explored for quite a while.”
Kennedy says the Kalgoorlie store has all the traditional equipment you would expect in a print centre, plus wide format capabilities, while the offset and large volume jobs are done at Caxton which is Snap's hub in WA.
He says, “Amazingly the transport company between the Perth hub and Kalgoorlie delivers the next day at 9am, which is quicker than the Perth courier service.”
