Worldwide, Inc. has won the "Colour Printer Line of the Year" Award, as well as three Fall 2005 "Pick of the Year" awards from Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI), the leading US independent office products test lab and business consumer advocate. The winning line of colour printers includes the Lanier LP332c and LP335c for large workgroups, as well as the Lanier LP126cn colour printer for mid-size offices.

Pick of the Year winners include the LP332c/LP335c for Outstanding Large Workgroup Colour Printer, the LP175hdn for Outstanding Departmental Monochrome Printer and the LP128n for Outstanding Small Workgroup Monochrome Printer.
"Buyers Laboratory is well-known for its rigorous testing and uncompromising standards of evaluation," says Dominic Pontrelli, vice president of marketing for Lanier.

"It is extremely gratifying to win these awards, because they show customers that we remain deeply committed to delivering powerful, high-quality document management solutions for all kinds of applications."

In a series of tests conducted by BLI, the Lanier colour printers stood out for their performance, functionality, and value, according to Anthony Polifrone, managing director for BLI.

"To earn a Buyers Lab ’Colour Printer Line of the Year’ award, at least one low-, mid-, and high-volume product from the printer line must be lab tested by us and clearly demonstrate superior overall performance and reliability in its respective category," adds Polifrone.

"When pitted against some very strong competitive colour lines, the colour printers from Lanier did just that, and proved to be the best of the best in each of these three volume categories."

To determine its "Pick of the Year" awards, BLI subjects products to competitive three-month in-house testing, during which analysts assess reliability, ease of use, total cost of ownership, print quality, productivity, and efficiency.

"For any product to earn a BLI ’Pick’ award, it must display exceptional performance as judged by our expert team of technical analysts and editors," says Polifrone. "These three Lanier printers clearly demonstrated such performance."

The Lanier LP332c and LP335c are network-ready laser printers that deliver up to 28 or 35 full-colour, and up to 32 or 35 monochrome pages per minute at 1200 dpi. Both offer advanced paper handling, security, and finishing capabilities not found on most colour printers in this class.

The Lanier LP175hdn is a network-ready laser printer that produces up to 75 monochrome pages per minute, up to 1200 dpi. Capabilities include professional finishing options and security features designed to protect sensitive data.

The Lanier LP128n is a network-ready laser printer that prints up to 28 monochrome pages per minute, with up to 1200 dpi resolution. It offers industry-standard connectivity and a wide range of choices for interface support. In addition, it comes with tools for remote administration.
