LIA appoints new executive officer
The Lithographic Institute of Australia (LIA) New South Wales division has appointed Margaret Leutton as its new executive officer. According to Mitch Mulligan, LIA NSW president, the decision to appoint Leutton came after the committee came to the realisation that it needed a "part time driver that will assist in helping the LIA achieve its objectives and continually develop new strategies for the future.
"During 2002, the committee completed much research and held planning meetings to discuss the future of the LIA. It was realised that in addressing the opportunities gleaned from the ‘Future Direction’ conference that implementing positive new initiatives was of the highest importance. This will position the LIA for continued success and growth well into the future," says Mulligan.
"After some months of advertising and interviewing, it is with great pleasure that the NSW committee introduce our newly appointed Executive Officer".
According to Mulligan, Margaret Leutton is highly motivated individual who possesses the skills, focus, commitment and time to really impact and contribute positively to the health and well being of the association. Leutton joins the LIA with a solid background in similar roles.
Since coming on board, Leutton has been busy working with the Future Directions sub committee on several key initiatives, which in the medium term is hoped to be of great benefit to the association.
