Local printing press makes way across Pacific

appointments  logistic
New Zealand’s Wairarapa Times-Age, part of the APN News and Media group, has seen the 10 printing units and two folders that made up its former pressroom, packed up and shipped off to American Samoa. The owner and editor-in-chief of the Samoa Observer, Sano Mailifa watched the packing and dispatch of the press and ancillary equipment when he was in Masterton in February. The Samoa Observer is the new home for the press, which provided good service to the Times-Age, finally printing its last sheet for the company in December 2004.

The shipment was made up of the two folders, along with the entire complement of press units. They are expected to be in service in American Samoa in double-quick time.
