Ferag Australia has added two new staff members to its southern regional sales force, covering both prepress and post-press sales, and further enhancing the company’s representation in these markets in Victoria and Tasmania. David Trainor joins the company with the task of representing Ferag’s comprehensive prepress equipment and consumables offering including the highly regarded Lüscher range of CtP equipment as well as film, inkjet media and other consumables.Trainor has considerable experience both in sales and as a prepress operator, having worked previously for Impact Printing in Melbourne for ten years as well as five years in repro sales at Pre Press in Mitcham. Immediately prior to joining Ferag Australia, Trainor specialised in prepress sales for MacDermid Printing Solutions.
"Ferag has an excellent portfolio in prepress products and systems so I’m looking forward to introducing what we have to offer to our customers," says Trainor. "My combination of sales experience and hands-on working knowledge will be invaluable in talking to customers and ensuring they always get the best in terms of quality and value for money."
David Kane has also joined Ferag Australia, providing sales support for the post-press sector. His main focus will be on post-press consumables such as wire strapping, adhesives and film wrapping material for both web and sheetfed markets.
A qualified printer by trade, including 14 years spent working on presses, Kane has an established track record in sales and was previously national accounts manager with MacDermid Printing Solutions.
"My work has taken me all over Australia and New Zealand, mainly in the publication sector, and I don’t think there is a web plant in the region I haven’t visited at some stage," he says. "I know from experience that Ferag has a reputation in post-press that is second to none, thanks primarily to the range of its products and its commitment to excellence in service. My goal is to ensure that reputation is further enhanced."
Both men will be working out of Ferag’s Victorian office in Dingley.
