Pisec, the international conference for the brand protection, product authentication and document security industries, will be taking place in Prague October 20-22 this year. During the last four events Pisec has been established as the most important showcase for new technology in its field - providing informative programs with first hand advice and technology sharing opportunities. Pisec is attended by all those associated with security solutions in packaging and labelling, government and security documentation and in supply chain management around the world - many visit the convention to make further alliances and source innovative solutions on behalf of their customers. With some 40 planned specialist papers spanning a wide field of initiatives PISEC continues to offer speakers, delegates and exhibitors a chance to network and explore new ideas that can be used to enhance security on products and provide a valuable contribution to marketing and supply chain strategies over the coming year.Day one will concentrate on Packaging and Product Protection with papers invited from high profile organisations involved in the fight against intellectual property crime and key providers of innovations aimed at discouraging piracy and tampering. Day two’s focus will be on Identification and Document Protection and will look at new initiatives and methods of reducing the risks of alteration and unauthorised replication.
In an exciting new addition to Pisec this year, Day three will deal with RFID tracking, authentication and tracing. The advances in, and importance of, RFID and electronic tagging have increased dramatically over the last few years. As the implications of adopting these techniques become more attractive, questions start being raised about how they can be used to establish product authenticity as well as act as secure mechanisms for identifying product status such as damage in transit and incorrect storage temperatures.
