Seven of Victoria’s top printing companies have had their achievements formally recognised through the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame. Tim Holding, The Minister for Manufacturing & Export, presented the companies with Hall of Fame ‘Certificates of Manufacturing Excellence’, recognising the awards bestowed on the companies by the National Printing Industry earlier this year.

"The Victorian printing industry has again demonstrated its capability for excellence across a wide range of disciplines," Holding says.

"I am confident that the companies honoured here today will provide the industry with the momentum to develop an innovative and export-focused culture that will sustain its future. Certificates of Excellence are a great way of ensuring our star performers get the recognition they deserve."

The seven Victorian companies awarded Hall of Fame certificates are:
Adams Printers Pty Ltd of Breakwater, near Geelong;
Bambra Press Pty Ltd of Port Melbourne;
BPA Print Group Pty Ltd of Burwood;
Penfold Buscombe Ltd of Mount Waverley;
RA Printing Pty Ltd of Kilsyth;
SNP Sprint (Australia) Pty Ltd, of Mount Waverley; and
Whites Law Bindery of Caulfield South.

The Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame was established by the Bracks Government to recognise Victoria’s top manufacturers and celebrate their achievements.

Holding says the Victorian print industry employed over 28,000 skilled staff and managers and generated $5bn in annual turnover.

"The Bracks Government is working closely with the industry to help it develop a sustained export culture, which will be vital for future growth," Holding says.

The Manufacturing Hall of Fame is part of the Bracks Government’s Agenda for New Manufacturing aimed at making Victoria the key centre of manufacturing excellence in the Asia Pacific.

Certificates of Manufacturing Excellence are presented to manufacturers who have been recognised by their peers as being the best in the business.
