Peter Wilton, currently finance director, has been appointed managing director of Intergrafica Print & Pack (IPP), effective from the end of July. He succeeds Jonathan Clark who is leaving IPP to pursue opportunities outside the industry. "I am very pleased and honoured to be taking on this leadership role with such a major supplier to the local graphic arts industry," says Wilton.

"IPP is well-known throughout the industry for the quality of its products and services and I look forward to building on this reputation for excellence in everything we do.

"I’d like to thank Jonathan Clark for his outstanding contribution to IPP over the past few years and wish him all the best for the future with his new ventures."

Clark was managing director at IPP for five years having previously held senior roles over seven years with MAN Roland in the Asia Pacific region. During his time at IPP, he oversaw a number of milestones for the company including completing one of the largest single orders for new printing presses in Australia, comprising six LITHOMAN commercial web presses at PMP Print, as well as the first MAN Roland 12-colour sheetfed perfecting press anywhere in the world.

He also played a key role in the successful launch of Graphic Systems Australasia (GSA) and the acquisition of the exclusive agency for Fujifilm prepress products and services, the first time that this agency had changed hands in more than two decades.

Another notable accomplishment was the acquisition of the renowned Bobst agency for the packaging market.

"This has been an exciting time for both the industry and IPP, given the nature and scale of the changes we have seen over the past few years," says Clark.

"I’d like to thank all our customers, my colleagues and friends within the industry for making my eleven years at MAN Roland and IPP so enjoyable."

Werner Assum, executive vice president Eastern Hemisphere for MAN Roland congratulated Clark for his achievements and leadership while at the helm of IPP.

"Jonathan has been a fine ambassador for IPP and MAN Roland over a number of years and I know we will miss his talents and business acumen. He is highly respected by customers and colleagues alike, not only in Australia but also in Europe, and I know I speak for them in wishing him every success for the future."

Wilton joined IPP in 2005 as finance director having previously held senior financial and commercial roles with industrial services companies, Castrol, Wormald and Qantas.

With experience in business development and customer contact including high level contract negotiation, Wilton is ideally placed to manage the ongoing evolution of IPP as a major graphic arts supplier. His primary objectives as managing director will be to continue to increase new business, especially in the sheetfed market, as well as enhance teamwork and delivery of services to customers.

"My long term goal is to ensure that IPP continues to be seen as the premium supplier of products and services to our customers," he commented. "The foundations are in place and while there is a lot of hard work ahead of us, I am confident we can achieve our objectives."
