On their way: Olympic gold medallists Nathan Cohen and Joseph Sullivan, who will speak at this year's NZSDA conference

This year’s NZSDA conference will feature an appearance from Olympic gold medallists Nathan Cohen and Joseph Sullivan, who will speak at the president’s welcome breakfast.

Nick Baty, president of the NZSDA, says Cohen and Sullivan have much to offer in terms of achieving goals. He says, “They will present an account of how they punched above their weight to bring home New Zealand’s first Gold Medal at the 2012 London Olympics. They will be available to answer questions after their presentation.

Set for Blenheim from April 25-28, the conference begins with the NZSDA Annual General Meeting at the Scenic Hotel Marlborough. Baty says an informal meet and greet at Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre will follow that. He says, “We have a range of activities and excellent presenters lined up, and we will have more details about that leading up to the conference.”

The conference will also feature the NZSDA Awards night, which will take place on April 27. Baty adds, “Members have already started making plans and booking flights. We look forward to seeing everyone in April.”
