HP’s IdM suite European sales have more than doubled in just 12 months due to increased customer focus on identity management and related strategic acquisitions, according to the technology solutions provider. "HP’s practical, automated approach to identity management is helping customers attain up to 68 percent cost savings in user management and nearly 50 percent cost savings in overall IT support(1)," claims Andy Isherwood, vice president and general manager, Software Business, HP EMEA.

"Our IdM software suite, combined with expertise from HP Services, enables organisations to structure business services that model real world processes and organisations, offering real ROI in the form of increased productivity and reduced IT administration costs."

Recently, Bloor Research cited HP as a visionary in the identity management market, well-positioned with strong provisioning, federation and audit capabilities that address customer needs in a range of sectors including financial, telecommunications, government and manufacturing.

HP’s IdM suite automates control over users and their relationships to IT, thus synchronising business processes and IT services. The solution goes beyond simple user access and security by integrating into other strategic areas including IT Service Management (ITSM) and Software Configuration Management while supporting Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
