Jenrite and HP will host a Technology Expo, at the Waipuna Conference Centre in Auckland, later this month, to showcase a range of new products for the large format printing industry.

The event runs from 2pm-7.30pm on Wednesday April 17. Craig Simmons,product manager at Jenrite, says, “Over recent months Jenrite has introduced a wide variety of exciting new technology developments and felt that bringing everything together in one large event was the only way to show customers all the new products. The main focus will be on new product applications featuring a series of new print media that will provide businesses with new revenue streams.

He believes the next generation textile media will feature prominently He says, “When combined with the latest HP Latex Printer, you can print quality and colour vibrancy previously only available from dye sublimation. It’s also worthwhile checking out the HP Scitex flatbed printer. It has been the biggest selling flatbed in New Zealand combining high quality with the best productivity in the market. We will have the HP Scitex FB500 will be in full operation at the show.”

Avery Dennison will feature its latest ultra-conformable cast films in a live vehicle wrapping demonstration. Avery technical specialists will discuss this latest development and other aspects of wide format substrates.

Simmons says, “Wall decoration is a large and growing market and a wide variety of substrates available for this lucrative market will be on display. For HP users, the new free web-based HP WallArt Software will be demonstrated.

“Productivity is an important part of any business and new highly productive finishing equipment will be demonstrated. The latest cutting, roll laminating, flatbed laminating and trimming technology will be in full operation to show how you can save labour hours out of every day.”

He adds that, with big developments taking place in the software used to drive printers, visitors will want to see the new workflow products from GMG, Onyx, Flexi and SignLAB. He says, “These solutions are providing a totally new approach to this part of the business. The GMG specialist will tell you how you can shave 20 per cent off your ink bill.”

As the largest supplier of display hardware to the NZ market, Jenrite will launch a series of new displays as well as a full presentation of the existing product line. Simmons says this will be one of the few times Jenrite’s full display range will be on display in one place.

One lucky visitor will win the door prize: an HP Envy x2 notebook. This has a removable screen that operates as a tablet or a fully functional notebook when connected to the keyboard base.
