Print industry personnel wanting to gain Level 3 National Certificate in Sales qualification from CMITO have until April 1 to receive a $50 discount on the price of the course.

John Cudby, manager for CMITO, says the special offer to kick-start training for the year accompanies strong industry demand for on-job training in this area. He says, “We recognise that sales heavily influence the success of any business. Having salespeople with the right knowledge, skills and confidence to carry out their role is key to achieve success.”

The sales qualification has relevance for anyone involved in sales. He adds, “Whether they are new to the role or wanting to refresh or formalise their skills, this qualification will help them. The extra incentive, $50 off for those signing on to the Level 3 sales qualification by April 1, is part of a big push to boost our training numbers this year.”

The sales qualification covers:

  • Target markets, buyer behaviour & the marketing mix
  • Sales skills and tools
  • Customer focused business relationships
  • Communicating product information
  • Negotiation skills
  • Managing a sales territory

CMITO provides the training resources, advice and support, arranges assessment and certificates. Cudby adds that the on-job nature of the training means that skills a salesperson learns can be applied to the role immediately and tasks carried out as part of the role are used to answer questions in the training workbooks.

The qualification includes compulsory and elective modules. It costs $550+gst (without discount) and takes 12 months to complete. Anyone interested should visit www.printnz.co.nz
