One of New Zealand’s larger direct mail companies, Mailshop has had a management reshuffle, combining the general manager’s position with that of head of sales and marketing. Deidre Ross has been appointed to the new sole charge position of general manager. She says the new role “signals Mailshop’s intention of consolidating its leadership in direct marketing” in New Zealand.
“By its very nature, direct marketing demands rapid turnarounds of highly creative and increasingly complex mail packages. This necessitates an advanced set of skills, a focused team ethic and the ability to invent and innovate when circumstances dictate.”
Since joining Mailshop in 2001, Ms Ross has held a variety of senior roles within the company, most recently general manager of sales and marketing.
Established in 1994, Mailshop focuses primarily on the project management of creative mail campaigns.
Ms Ross says it works closely with companies from pre-production to delivery, providing strategic counsel supported by new technology.
Mailshop has invested significantly in advanced technology, including automation software solutions, unique film wrapping, intelligent machine processing, scanning, and printing.
