Presstek press product of the year
Presstek’s 34DI digital offset press has been voted the British Association of Print and Communication (BAPC) product of the year at its annual conference recently. BAPC is a UK association for the creative industry, which includes the graphic arts, print and communication sectors.
This award for product excellence is particularly significant, in Presstek’s opinion, because the BAPC’s membership consists of print professionals who are actively using the current systems on the market and they possess a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience.
Sidney Bobb, chairman of the BAPC, says the award was voted for by the 120 delegates who attended the conference.
“I am delighted that this new digital offset press has been so positively perceived and acknowledged by our members.”
The Presstek 34DI is an automated, sheetfed four-colour digital offset printing press that combines the efficiency of an all-digital workflow with the versatility and quality of conventional four-colour offset printing.
Presstek says the press is engineered to deliver lower cost per page for print runs of 250 to 10,000, whilst maintaining its cost advantage for longer run lengths. The company believes that the 34DI is suitable for commercial printers who need to reduce make-ready times, increase job throughput and improve productivity.
