PrintNZ has released details of its Print Awareness Course for Non Printers courses, which it will hold in Christchurch and Auckland next month.
The course planners say the course is ideal for new entrants to the industry, those needing an update on current industry practices, print buyers (commercial or government), advertising agencies, printers, Diploma in Print Management students, or anybody interested in getting the most out of print production.
The Auckland course runs from 9am to 4.30pm on April 8 at the PrintNZ offices, Times House, 50 Stonedon Drive, Highbrook, Auckland. The Christchurch course runs from 9am to 4.30pm on April 10 at Peppers Clearwater Resort, Clearwater Avenue, Northwood, Christchurch. For registration forms, go to www.printnz.co.nz
The Print Awareness course covers the following outcomes:
- Have a greater awareness of the complexities of the industry
- Have a greater comprehension of the requirements for successfully streamlining the production process
- Be better able to communicate more effectively with others regarding all elements of the print production process
- Obtain a better understanding of the time pressures encountered in the production process and how best to get product through the production process.
- Be able to talk to the printer using printers terms
- Be able to focus on customers’ needs and to meet/exceed customers’ expectations
- Improve sales and customer support through a better understanding of the print production process.
