Printing Industries  awards  Pride in Print 
Five regions around New Zealand have fielded finalists for PrintNZ’s Apprentice of the Year award with the overall winner to be announced on stage at this year’s Pride In Print event in June.

The branch winners will travel to Christchurch to attend the Apprentice Awards Breakfast to receive their award and prize in front of invited guests.

The finalists come from right around the country and are:

Binding & Finishing: Isaako Eti, Actionmail, Auckland, with the award sponsored by the Print Finishers Association.
Graphic Pre-Press: Anna Mollekin, Tainui Press Design & Print, Matamata. Award sponsored by Natcoll Design & Technology.
Paperboard Packaging: Stephen Meredith, Carter Holt Harvey Packaging, Auckland. Award sponsored by the NZ Paperboard Packaging Association.
Reel-fed: Andrew Hale, The Christchurch Press, Christchurch. Award sponsored by the Newspaper Publishers' Association.
Screen: Baydon Harris, John Colours (1998) Ltd, Dunedin. Award sponsored by Blue Print Imaging Ltd.
Sheet-fed: Graeme Allardice, Meteor Printers Ltd, Wanganui. Award sponsored by PrintNZ.
National Certificate Trainee: Hazel Hemara, Carter Holt Harvey Paper Bag, Auckland. Award sponsored by the EPMU (Union).
