Swug Conference organisers say delegates can expect informative, relevant and topical content from a top line up of speakers, for the event when it takes place on July 17-18 in Auckland.
Dan Blackbourn, chairman of Swug, says the 2013 conference promises a number of highlights in the busy two day package, including a site visit to the PMP plant at Manukau, the Swug Awards Dinner, and social events.
Key speakers confirmed for the conference include:
Hayato Kashiwagi, DIC Group Asia Pacific regional marketing manager. Singapore-based Hayato will deliver the keynote address on newspaper trends in the Asian market where growth continues in some territories
Ross Ackland DSTO NSSTC programme manager, will talk about security risks associated with social media such as Facebook, Plaxo and LinkedIn, including how terrorists could disrupt communities
Jenny Stiles business and marketing manager, Newspapers Work. A key promoter of newspapers and their websites to advertisers, Stiles has reputation as a passionate supporter of the industry and has gained considerable experience in the sector
Stephen Cox, Norske Skog Technical Customer Support. Originally from Tasmania, Cox spent 20 years at the Boyer Paper Mill progressing through shift production roles to shift performance manager and a decade ago, he moved from production to the technical customer support role at Albury Mill.
The theme of the conference, ‘Print Endures,’ emphasises that even in a time of rationalisation, print maintains its continuing role in the media mix. Anyone needing further information can visit www.swug.co.nz or call Dan Blackbourn on 021 770 804.
