Bodin to head EDP packaging division
Edwards Dunlop Paper has appointed David Bodin as the manager for its packaging division. Bodin will be based in Melbourne for the national role, which he says is a challenge he’s looking forward to.
“It is an interesting role which will involve developing the market for Edwards Dunlop, through both the selection of new products and the promotion of established ones,” he says.
“I will be liaising with a range of suppliers to get the best deals for our customers. Mine will be a support role, giving direction for the group. Sales will be driven by regional managers and packaging account managers. But I’d also like to nail a few sales myself!”
Bodin has worked in the paper industry for 18 years, mostly with Australian Paper in sales and marketing roles. His last position with Australian Paper was as manager of the company’s packaging paper business.
Immediately before joining Edwards Dunlop, he was heading up Price and Pierce’s operations in Australia.
He says the time was right to join Edwards Dunlop, as the company was now a very dynamic and exciting place to work.
“I’m looking forward to growing the packaging division in sales and profit,” Bodin says.
Among his plans is a revamp of the carton board range, a more aggressive approach to the market, and the ability to offer a total product range.
“You name it, we will be there.”
