Packaging pre-production solution specialist, Esko, will partner with DuPont Packaging Graphics for the 7th Grand Prix Cyrel which is set to take place March 22-25, 2007 in Valencia, Spain. The Grand Prix Cyrel competition and the International Flexo-Print-Pack Congress – always held alongside each other – were established in 1982 and have developed into an important four-yearly landmark for the whole flexo industry.Aimed at plate makers, trade shops, printers, converters, retailers and CPGs, the joint event has developed into a powerful engine to promote the growth of flexography within the printing packaging industry.
The Grand Prix Cyrel awards the best printed packages while highlighting the capabilities of flexo. Providing industry leaders with a platform on which to meet, exchange ideas and demonstrate the power of flexography in packaging, it has gained a reputation for provoking strategic change in the minds of the key players that attend.
With the Grand Prix Cyrel, the producers hope to reach a new audience of consumer packaged goods companies, and to place new and future technologies such as Cyrel digital, Cyrel FAST and Cyrel round, in the limelight.
“We are proud to partner with DuPont Packaging Graphics for the 7th Grand Prix Cyrel,” says Jef Stoffels, director Corporate Marketing of Esko.

Pier Luigi Sassanelli, marketing communications and brand manager, DuPont Packaging Graphics Europe MEA, says, “DuPont printing plates and Esko design, reproduction and imaging technologies;
it is such a natural connection.”

“We are honoured to have been approached by Esko to partner with us also for these important conference and awards,” Sassanelli concludes.
