Italian press manufacturer Nuova Gidue has launched its new product line for the carton packaging market the M9.
The press will perform multi process technologies (offset, flexo, gravure) and up to six converting units for hot-stamping, embossing and die-cutting. Several deliveries will be available: high-pile stacking, shingle delivery and roll delivery.
The first M9 is to be delivered to a Chinese converter to print liquor boxes and cigarette packaging.
Federico D’Annunzio, managing director, Nuova Gidue says, ‘The labels and packaging industries are getting closer; the M9 is designed to create a bridge between the two markets.”
D’Annunzio says, ‘The M9 fulfills most of the commitments of high-end added value packaging, which can be produced all-in-one-pass using several printing and converting technologies. This also helped us to develop new short-run technologies in gravure, offset and flexo printing and in the converting sections.”
He says,‘We were pleased with the quantity and quality of our visitors. This Open House has been a good opportunity to show Gidue’s deep innovation capabilities and provide a guided tour of our facilities.”
