Effective July 1, Michael Fischer, sales area manager Far East, left Windmöller & Hölscher headquarters in Lengerich, Germany, to join the company’s regional office in Bangkok to strengthen it’s marketing activities in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Fischer is backed by the teams of other W&H sales offices in China, Thailand and Taiwan. Windmöller & Hölscher is represented by Johs. Rieckermann in Asia and by Agfa Gevaert in Australia.

Many customers in these countries will remember Fischer, who managed the W&H sales office in Bangkok for some years before returning to Lengerich. A closer contact with the customer and a better understanding of the specific market situation are cited by Fischer as the most important advantages stemming from his return to Thailand, which will also make contacts with customers in Australia and New Zealand easier.

In addition to sales, the decentralised service network in the region will be reinforced and made more effective in order to ensure rapid response to the customers’ needs.

"A key element of our market activities in Asia has always been our exclusive agents Johs. Rieckermann who have safeguarded our interests in the region for many years. Their services and their specific country and customer related know-how have always been an important pillar of W&H’s marketing strategy in this part of the world," says Fischer emphasising the importance of the Johs. Rieckermann team to a successful market coverage in Asia.

Fischer and his local colleagues will have their office in the same building as Johs. Rieckermann in Bangkok.
