Meredith Darke, Intergrafica Print & Pack and Graphic Systems Australasia group national marketing manager, has been elected unopposed to the position of president of GAMAA for a two year term. Darke takes the mantle from David Rands, Coates Brothers Australia / New Zealand managing director. Alastair Hadley, Heidelberg Southern Region general manager, was elected to the position of vice president, formerly held by Darke.

The appointments were made at the organisation’s annual general meeting held on November 27.

Darke says, “I am very much looking forward to carrying on GAMAA’s strong tradition of creating an environment that encourages the contribution and participation of all members. The willingness of members to share their thoughts and to listen closely to all views expressed is reinforcement that GAMAA has got its processes right.

“I see the role of President as that of trustee of the wishes of the members around the GAMAA table. I am honoured with the trust placed in me with this appointment and am excited about the challenges ahead.”

Hadley as a member of the Education Task Group has been instrumental in progressing GAMAA’s education agenda and looks forward his term as vice president.

“Developing strong leaders is essential for the industry as it continues to redefine itself as new and emerging technologies impact the way we do business. It is indeed an honour to be in a position to assist in taking the Association, and the industry, forward,” he says.
