Brisbane’s Kingswood Press has become the first Australian company to install the new Lüscher CTP system, supplied by Ferag. Signing for the deal at PrintEx Kingswood managing director Phil Mooney said, "We looked at several solutions, and talked to people in Europe who were running the Lüscher. We feel it offers excellent value, I realluy like the automated remote diagnostics, and Swiss quality is a given."

Kingswood will replace two Gerber CTP systems with the new Lüscher, which will supply plates to its three presses, a Speedmaster and two Lithrones. Kingswood was the first company in Queensland to install CTP back in 1997, when it put in its first Gerber.

Brisbane will also be the home of the second Luscher, with printer LEP signing up for one.
