Kodak Versamark, part of Kodak’s new Graphic Communications Group, has got the new entity of to a flying start with the news that Datacolor Business Corporation, one of Germany’s leading providers of direct marketing services, will install six Kodak Versamark DS9100. The company says the six Versamarks will significantly enhance its technical expertise in producing personalised digital print solutions, including mailings, plastic cards, digital one-to-one solutions, address management and fulfillment.

The DS9100 printing system features a print speed of up to 300 meters per minute and a resolution of 300dpi, with the capability to personalize an equivalent of 170,000 DIN A4 sheets per hour. After printing and personalization, the rolls are transferred to a special finishing module that is equipped with numerous punching, folding and gluing possibilities, as well as with a single sheet cutter.

The flexible, page-wide Kodak Versamark printheads support variable positioning and are divided over two imaging towers, which facilitate printing on any part of the paper web. In addition, the system supports 100 per cent variable data printing either in monochrome or in up to four spot colours with high quality text and graphics.
