Konica makes its mark

Konica Minolta  appointments  printing - digital
Konica Australia underlined its intentions to become a serious player in the digital production printing market, displaying its new black and white and colour printers at PrintEx03. The Konica 7085 Production Printing System offers an output speed of 85 pages per minute, advanced image quality, enhanced production finishing capabilities, robust network connectivity, and is built to handle the high-volume demands of central reprographics departments and print-on-demand environments.

The Konica 8031 Color Imaging System features copy and print speeds up to 31 pages per minute in colour and black and white, and is the first Konica colour product to offer Color Digital Polymerized Toner, developed and manufactured exclusively by Konica. The 8031 offers 600x600 dpi copy resolution and up to 600x1800 dpi print resolution, standard electronic sort in both copy and print mode, scan-to-email, scan-to-FTP and Internet fax capabilities, and an optional hard drive for job storage.

According to Konica Australia office document company national product marketing manager John Venett, interest in the two machines was very pleasing, with a number of units sold to PrintEx visitors.
