Positive Camtec, Australian distributors of AbsoluteProof Digital Proofing Software, has announced that LCM+A Professional Services, a Division of Computers Now, has been appointed as exclusive New South Wales and Victorian dealers for AbsoluteProof. Philip Trumble, Positive Camtec product manager, says, "We are very pleased to have established LCM+A as exclusive dealers in New South Wales and Victoria. LCM+A’s expertise in digital output, as one of the largest Epson dealers in Australia, and their sales and service infrastructure already in place, will no doubt allow them to offer the highest level of sales and technical assistance available."
According to Harold Weeks, Computers Now NSW Manager, the appointment of the LCM+A Division as the exclusive dealer in NSW and Victoria is right in line with its strategic objectives.

"AbsoluteProof represents the forefront of this rapidly changing technology and we are delighted to be able to combine the expertise of both companies to offer customers the most positive digital proofing experience possible," says Harold Weeks.

AbsoluteProof is a digital proofing software that utilises pre-ripped data from the imagesetter or platesetter rip to deliver digital proofs showing colour, content, halftone, overlaps and traps exactly as they will appear on press.

AbsoluteProof can even match most of the Pantone colours on Hexachrome capable devices by resolving Pantone and Special colours outside in the maximum colour space of the proofing device.

The advance colour engine in AbsoluteProof has gained international acclaim and, according to Positive Camtec, is the only package currently licensed by Pantone for ICC Hexachrome Proofing.

AbsoluteProof version 3.0 has recently been released, and contains many improved features including native Mac OSX support and enhanced halftone proofing up to 200lpi. AbsoluteProof offers driver support for Hewlett Packard, Epson and Roland inkjet devices, all Postscript Devices and PDF remote proofing.

Positive Camtec was established in 1991 and has continued to provide the Signage, Graphics and Pre Press industries with revolutionary new products. As Roland Australia’s largest dealer, they have assisted many businesses to make the transition to digital workflows, reducing costs and increasing quality. Their reputation for service and support has established them as one of Australia’s leading suppliers.

LCM+A, established since 1996, has built strong alliances with major printing industry vendors. Focussing on the specific technology requirements of the Graphic Arts, Advertising, Corporate Marketing, Publishing, Pre-press and Printing Industries, LCM&A is recognized within the industry for it’s specialist support, sales, service and consultative team. Recently incorporated into the Computers Now group and operating out of Computers Now’s North Sydney premises the LCM&A team continues to service the high-end professional and corporate markets.
