KBA adds Penang to roadshow stopovers

KBA continues to make inroads into the Asia pacific markets, including Penang on its Malaysian venues during its road show at the end of last year.

Home to any number of graphic arts companies, the federal state of Penang has developed into the third most important economic centre in Malaysia over the past 25 years. KBA says this growing potential gave sufficent reason the press manufacturer to open a local service office, and bring its roadshow to the doorstep of printers in the country’s northern region.

At the event, more than 60 industry experts from over 40 different companies gathered to discuss and learn more about the latest technical and technological innovations from KBA, the services offered by new local office, and current market trends.

Stefan Segger ,managing director of KBA Asia Pacific, and sales manager Rex Teng, welcomed visitors were first welcomed by sales manager Rex Teng. They highlighted the latest developments and recent KBA investments in new fields of the packaging industry.

KBA says it impressed the audience with the long list of KBA reference installations in the Asia-Pacific region. Jürgen Veil, key account manager for the packaging sector at KBA in Radebeul, also gave a presentation on the new generation of high-performance UV dryers, on automation solutions such as simultaneous plate changing, and on new KBA technologies for product refinement using cold foil.

KBApenang2The roadshow event in Penang culminated with Evonna Lim, managing director of local print company Etheos Imprint Technology, signing contracts for a new six-colour Rapida 105 coater press, her company’s first Rapida sheetfed offset press factors included its reliable local partnerships and the trustful relationships which KBA Asia Pacific has built up with users throughout the region.
