Organisers of this year’s Heimtextil show in Frankurt, Germany say the shift towards digital textile printing marked a major trend, seeing an increasing number of exhibitors and greater innovative strength.
Digital exhibitors came from all over the globe. They included Durst and Reggiani, both from Italy; SPGprints, the Netherlands; Pod Iberia, Portugal; Hewlett-Packard, USA; and Kornit Digital, Israel.
Oliver Luedtke, marketing manager of Kornit Digital Europe, says, “We are delighted and were particularly surprised by the great interest shown. Today, there is hardly a manufacturer who is not interested in digital printing. Hence, we see ourselves at the beginning of a major development in this segment, a development that will also be reflected at Heimtextil in the future.”
Heimtextil 2014 closed its doors after a four-day run today, after welcoming almost 67,000 visitors from 133 countries. Detlef Braun, member of the executive board of organiser Messe Frankfurt, says, “With growth on both the visitor and exhibitor sides, Heimtextil 2014 has been a complete success. In addition to the excellent statistics, the quality and enormous spectrum of products underscore the unique position of Heimtextil as the world’s leading trade fair for home and contract textiles.”
The fair received positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors with 94 per cent of visitors saying they had achieved their goals for the fair and 79 per cent of exhibitors achieved their targets for the fair.
The next Heimtextil in Frankfurt am Main takes place from January 14-17 in 2015.
