Barnes was formerly national manager of product and business development with Heidelberg Australia and New Zealand. He rose through the ranks with Heidelberg over the last twenty years, from services manager, account manager, sheetfed product specialist trainer to product manager, before his appointment with Fujifilm.

Barnes says, “Fujifilm is recognised as a market-leading supplier to the printing and graphics industry and I am looking forward to working closely with the team and our clients and leading Fujifilm Graphics in its next phase of growth.”

Kevin Masuda, CEO of Fujifilm, says, “Lindsay Barnes has produced an impressive portfolio of achievements in his twenty-year professional career. With his deep industry experience we are delighted to welcome him to the Fujifilm team.”

Fujifilm has developed into a major player in print, with its offset plates being complemented by its workflow solutions, and its large range of wide format printers. The company is also launching its new digital B2 sheetfed and its webfed inkjet print systems.

In his three years with Fujifilm, outgoing general manager Eastwood also assumed responsibility for the company’s medical division in 2011, and says he has a strong affinity with the Australian Diabetes Council’s cause.

Eastwood says, “I have a deep personal interest in the organisation and after many years in the commercial world feel the time is appropriate to share and perhaps apply some of this experience in what is an increasingly critical issue for all Australians.”
