Eight of the nine finalists for the latest round of national graduate of the year awards have been announced, with the winners of the two biennial prizes to be honoured in Sydney at the NSW PICA awards on Friday December 6.
In the running for the two biennial prizes, the $15,000 GAMAA – LIA National Graduate Scholarship Prize and the LIA – Printing Industries Future Leaders Award, which includes an all-expenses paid trip to next year’s IPEX, are the state finalists from the last two years’ competitions.
From Queensland, Joshua Ankers from Inprint and Sarah Glanville from Creed & Lang Printing will contest the titles, with NSW’s Brett Foran from Land & Property Information and Sinnot Brothers’ Samuel Moss also in the running.
Down south, Teagan Woodcock from James Yeates Printing & Design is the sole Victorian representative, while in South Australia Robyn Edwards from Bowden Print Group and another finalist to be announced on November 15 will do their state proud.
Shannon Potter from Express Print and Timothy Smith from Quality Press will lead the charge for Western Australia.
The LIA is encouraging industry reps to come along on December 6 and support the future of the industry, with tickets available at the Printing Industries website, http://printnet.com.au
